What we do

Two decisions. One discipline.

Governance where strategy meets the duty to operate.

Dr. Jimoh Consulting is a Berlin boutique advising chemical, pharmaceutical and oil and gas operators on two decisions that carry disproportionate risk: how to outsource safety-critical work without surrendering accountability, and how to enter African markets without losing control of execution. Both are usually run as procurement or expansion projects. We run them as governance.

Duty of care
Decision rights
Provider oversight
Entry discipline

What we change for you.

We do not staff your safety function and we do not write market reports. We change where accountability sits, who holds decision rights, and what your board can defend. Capability flows in without accountability flowing out.

01

Process & plant safety outsourcing advisory

Outsource execution. Retain accountability.

Safety expertise is increasingly bought rather than built. Bought without governance, it does not reduce risk — it relocates it into the gap between what a vendor executes and what an operator still owns. We map that gap, design the accountability model around it, and keep your organization able to challenge the work it pays for.

02

Africa market entry & growth advisory

Enter with structure. Grow with discipline.

Most entry strategies are sound on paper and drift in execution. They are defeated by partner selection, regulatory sequencing and distribution economics that the board case never priced. We test the thesis market by market, structure partner selection as governance, and stay through the first phase of execution.

Who this is for.

Both practices are built for the executive who carries the consequence: the board member, operations leader or country sponsor who cannot delegate the outcome, whatever the contract says.

i

Operators externalizing safety-critical work

Chemical, pharmaceutical and energy operators buying HAZOP facilitation, SIL verification, safety-case authoring or laboratory testing — and holding the duty of care regardless of who performs it.

ii

Groups entering or scaling in African markets

International operators moving beyond desk research into entity build, partner selection and regulatory sequencing across West, Central and East Africa.

iii

Boards and investors reviewing an existing position

Parent groups and investors testing whether a vendor setup or a country position holds up before the next audit, the next tranche, or the next incident.

How we engage.

Decisions are not made in one motion, and the work is structured the same way. Each phase is a defined piece with its own deliverable, priced as a fixed fee rather than billed hours. You can stop, hold or continue at each boundary.

01

Diagnostic — 2 to 3 weeks

A structured assessment of where accountability, compliance or market-entry risk actually sits today. Often enough on its own to confirm a direction or kill it.

02

Design — 4 to 6 weeks

The governance model or the entry strategy in full: decision rights, contract language, partner approach, milestones and named accountabilities. The deliverable a board can approve.

03

Program — 2 to 3 months

Design carried through the first phase of execution — provider onboarding or partner selection, regulatory milestones, and project steering — so the decision holds under ground conditions.

04

Board advisory — ongoing

Independent counsel at board and executive-committee level through the cycle, not only at the decision point.

Delivery is on site and remote. Every engagement is confidential and principal-led; where a project needs additional capacity, we assemble a small named team rather than a delivery pyramid.

A direct conversation is the fastest way to establish whether your current setup governs the risk or merely moves it. Most engagements begin with a short, fixed-fee diagnostic.
